The Founder and CEO

Rob Del Core P.Eng. M.Phil

Over 25 years of technical, engineering, commercial experience in hydrogen fuel cell technologies, hydrogen hybrid electric and zero emissions vehicles development, Rob held senior executive positions in multiple leadng fuel cell corporations, successfully led and delivered over 25 hybrid and fuel cell vehicle powertrain design, development, system integration and fuel cell power systems development projects. Mr. Del Core has delivered multiple disruptive heavy duty fuel cell truck and bus projects funded by CEC and DOE.

Rob led the ISE team to design, develop and deploy eight Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses for Transport for London for 2012 summer games with Ballard Fuel cell and Maxwell’s ultracapacitor energy storage system (2010)

THE SIGNATURE FUEL CELL BUS PROJECT THAT PAVED THE HYDROGEN FUTURE

2010 - 2015

BREAKTHROUGH FUEL CELL SYSTEM LAUNCH

​Designed and architected the Celerity and Celerity Plus 60 kW Fuel Cell Power System pre-integrated with Siemens ELFA Bundle (2014) for Hydrogenics Corp.

Collaborating with Siemens, Rob led the design and development of Celerity and Celerity Plus fuel cell power system (in photo) with the goal to reduce fuel cell powertrain design and development by 30% for commercial vehicles, reduce powertrain integration time. It was successfully debuted in 2015 at APTA and subsequently won two California Energy Commission grant funding to integrate into a Daimler class 8 truck and a new flyer 40ft transit bus.

2016 - 2020

INTO THE VEHICLES & ESTABLISHED HYDROGENICS's FIRST VEHICLE INTEGRATION FACILITY IN THE US

Hydrogen Fuel cell 40-foot transit bus integrated with Hydrogenics’ CelerityPlus by New Flyer funded by California Energy Commission. New Flyer was the leading integrator in this project.

Established the first US vehicle integration facility in Carlsbad, California for Hydrogenics. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹Hydrogenics was acquired by Cummins. Rob continued his senior executive path in other hydrogen fuel cell companies and engineering consulting company. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

2021 - 2025

​ESTABLISHED SYMBIO's FOOTPRINT IN THE US 

As the first CEO and GM of Symbio North America Corporation, with his extensive hydrogen experience, vision and successful business strategy, Rob secured two California Energy Commission grant awards to develop the first Symbio's fuel cell truck and to establish Symbio's first manufacturing facility in Temecula, California.

​

He designed and led the development of the 400kW fuel cell power system and the advanced powertrain for the truck while building the manufacturing capability of the facility in Temecula.

 

After providing Symbio North America a foundation, he departed Symbio in February 2025.

2025 - Today

THE HISTORY OF GREENUMERIX

Rob originally founded Greenumerix in 2011 as a research and development company to design and develop disruptive thermal management strategy for zero emissions electric vehicles. With many successes, Rob is now the sole inventor of a portfolio of Predictive Thermal Management patents suitable for a wide range of applications from electric vehicles, batteries to renewable energy.

To execute his vision to design the most reliable, efficient, integration-friendly and cost-effective fuel cell power system solutions for heavy duty commercial vehicles, in 2025, Rob has returned to head up his R&D company as the CEO and CTO and launched the hydrogen fuel cell and electric drivetrain division at Greenumerix.

​

Greenumerix's vehicle integration and prototyping facility soon to be opened in California in 2026. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
